Special Report: Floor Bonding
On the first Monday of the session, counselors from each floor take their group of campers to age specific activities to foster community among the hall. One of the more traditional activities are the 8th grade skits. Counselors provide a list of terms and actions that mixed groups of boys and girls must act out for the rest of their peers. This gets creative juices flowing and helps mix up the dynamics amongst campers who are getting to know so many new people. The groups are "judged" by a panel of counselors based on cohesion, humor, and original interpretation. This also provides an opportunity for those who want to show off their skills at singing and acting.
